I would not hand a baby face, smooth and unscarred to God on high and say: "From hereon you find no trace of living, now I come to die." No; battered up and down the ways; I give him back this proof of me, record of keen tumultuous days, life's scars for man and God to see.
Now … Perhaps reading the first paragraph once more … you will picture yourself at the end of life's journey, and say, "What next?" This addresses the NOW in the title, for this message is for you, your loved ones or friends, to celebrate the first birthday of your immortal soul, if you have not already done so. No one is tired of listening to a person whose message (witness) is a holy life.
People need:
- Something to say
- the power to say it
- someone to say it to!
May I please give some identity or explanation to SOS?
Most everyone knows SOS is an "International Distress cry for help." It is a signal of distress. It occurred to me, in a vision, that this international distress call is NOW the "Eternal Distress Relief Symbol" to a dying world. Let me give you an example. Would you not agree that in one form or another, everyone has a Sense Of Survival and, in many cases, a Sense Of Starvation.
Please understand starvation does not refer only to food for physical being. The starvation can by in any form: mentally, physically, financially, or spiritually. You will find several SOS Sententious Expressions listed at the beginning of this article. SOS and the use of it has memory recall; and in our six months research of determing the use of SOS by a small pin with three dots / three dashes / three dots we were told by many large church organizations that the proper use of the code symbol pin and the Sententious Expressions would make an impact on people worldwide. Periodically, one concept surfaces that will revolutionize the thinking and action of millions.
Why SOS Now?
I received a vision, and in the vision saw the use of SOS on a broad scale worldwide because the vision indicated to us that we had the interest of God the Father for it was His idea; the investment of the Son for we are talking, in the use of SOS, about His life; and the intercession of the Holy Spirit because it is His power. The one remaining is inspiration of the church. That's you and me.
For those of you who read the Bible, you undoubtedly know the highest price God places on anything, on anything is the soul. "For what does it profit a man if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul" In our company, Some One Special, Inc., dba SOS, we frequently use the saying, "There is many a sorrow that would vanish tomorrow if we would but furnish the wings."
What I am saying to you now reflects on many of the Sententious Expressions at the beginning. SOS ... Smart Or Stupid, what does it mean? Safe Or Sorry, all of us have a choice to make decisions in life. Most everyone would prefer the choice of Smart Over Stupid and Safe Over Sorry. Through the use of SOS, you can receive the Secrets Of Success. Since we are Some One Special (in God's sight: Deuteronomy 7.6), we can Share Our Salvation. Your use of the various SOS expressions, as mentioned, or development of your own, excite and objectify response. The small code symbol dots and dashes in the form of a black and gold pin, the size of which is 7/16" x 3/4", causes people to look. The curiosity of dots and dashes, which is the Morse Code Symbol for SOS, offends no one and makes people ask, "What is it?" You have the choice of using various SOS Sententious Expressions to respond to this inquiry.
Folks, God is a partner in pain through people's unbelief; and the Christian witness will help ease God's pain because Christian witness points people to God's Son, the Saviour of all. In Hebrews 3.12, we learn of "an evil heart of unbelief...". Unbelief limits the power of God and of man /Paralyzes testimony / makes us deaf to the voice of God / a permanent forfeiture of blessing and virtually makes void the Word of God. Salvation, what does it mean? It really means to be "rescued." Since I traveled with a Messianic Jew from Russia, an evangelist who spent 55 years at the Throne of Grace preaching and teaching, I was taught salvation means to win. It is my feeling that 90 some percent would like to win, and receiving the Saviour Of Salvation means to win. Always remember this.
People, let us not mislead ourselves. The USA and the world knows, these are trying times. Discontentment, disillusionment, depression, fear, anxiety, economic worries, and family conditions affect us all. There is a "SEA" of fiery filth sweeping over the nations carrying everything before it. From millions of human throats the cry goes up to the demonic lord of the flood. "We will be slaves, only let us live." This must be stopped.
There is a solution ... the SOS witnessing vehicle. Actually the use of the SOS code emblem and Sententious Expressions, will send a Spiritual Operating Signal to the Slave Of Sin who sees the person wearing this emblem. Curiosity will prompt them to ask, "What does it mean?" The Christian through the Minister of Interior begins the TM (testimony) to Share Other Sufferings. What the Christian needs to do is to share salvation . , . the only rescue. If you are Sick Of Sin, then become a partner with us in the use of SOS. Sin Obviously Separates (sos). God calls sin an ABOMINATION, but man calls it an ACCIDENT; God calls sin a BLINDNESS, but man calls it a BLUNDER; God calls sin a DISEASE, but man calls it a DEFECT; God calls sin a CHOICE, but man calls it ERROR; God calls sin a FATALITY, but man calls it a FASCINATION; God calls sin an INIQUITY, but man calls it an IMPERFECTION; God calls sin LEPROSY, but man calls it a LUXURY; God calls sin LAWLESSNESS, but man calls it LIBERTY; God calls sin a TRAGEDY, but man calls it a TRIFLE; God calls sin a MADNESS, but man calls it MERRIMENT; God calls sin a WILLFULNESS, but man calls it a WEAKNESS. The hideousness of sin is impressively set forth in Romans 7:13 as being "exceeding sinful." What a forceful expression! Sin is high treason against God. It hates God's laws, rejects God's Christ, abuses God's mercy, despises God's goodness, mocks God's messengers, resists God's Spirit and flaunts God's word. Sin deforms the will, defiles the conscience, defrauds the soul, defames the character, defiles God, defers blessing and defeats its victim! Indeed, sin is "exceeding sinful." It is corrupt beyond comprehension! The tears at:est it, the sighs acclaim it, the prayers announce it, the police pursue it, the courts punish it, the penal institutions try to correct it, the doctors try to treat it, the druggist prescribes medication to cure or ease effects. A compassion for lost souls awaits your help. In II Cor. 4.15 it says, "I believe (in the Saviour Of Salvation), therefore, I speak (witness)." If we for Christ's sake become kwik-sat-ik (quixotic), this effort may be the wisdom of ages to come. Extravagant, valiant action!!
What the world needs today are people who have been to Calvary, to whom the cross is not a decoration, but an incarnation and who can claim Gal. 2:20. The Apostle Paul knew what he oelieved, because he knew whom he believed. Your witness to others is the Saviour Of Salvation in whom you believe.
I must tell you in the vision I received (over a period of very early morning visitations with the Holy Spirit), some 70 Sententious Expressions. Only a few are listed; but the number 70 indicates to you that you can create your own SOS's as you encounter friends or people to whom you feel you should take a stand for Jesus Christ. Remember, once again I say, "Salvation means to win," and you by the Holy Spirit win those people to Jesus.
Please understand ... I know the work is of God alone; still he uses instruments. If you do not tell the Gospel, you are leaving your fellow men to perish. Please understand there is nothing whatsoever in the whole compass of Scripture to excuse my mouth from speaking for Jesus when the heart is really acquainted with his salvation. We are not all called to "preach" in the new sense of the term, but we are all called to make Jesus known if we know him. This question ... "Has the Gospel ever been spread to any extent by men of high literary power?" Look through the whole line of history and see if it is so. Have the men of splendid eloquence been remarkable for winning souls? Think about it. What role is God calling upon you to play. How does He want you to be a partner with him? Remember, He uses "instruments."
About 251 years ago one of the finest messages delivered began, "There is nothing that keeps wicked men at anyone moment out of hell but the mere pleasure of God. God has laid himself under no obligation, by any promise, to keep any natural man out of hell one moment, but what is contained in the covenant of grace."
Can you and I any longer be a Spectator Of Sin by our employing the Sin Of Silence? Some of you may say, "But I can't witness, I'm not good at it, I don't know what to say." Don't you let Satan deny you the right to give your testimony for Jesus Christ. That is one of Satan's tricks right out of the "armory of hell."
The best example of Divine Spirit working in a human spirit is seeing our Lord Jesus Christ in the days of His flesh. His mind was always subject to the mind of God. "I can of my own self do nothing." We know of our own self we can do nothing, but that's when you have the Saviour Of Salvation and advise that Some One §pecial that we Share Our Salvation and are no longer Servants Of Self. That's when you begin to open the mind of that person, letting them know that you are no longer Servants Of Sin, and we Share Our Strength, recognizing we want to help Save Our Society from the Slavery Of Sin. The first sin ever committed in the garden was the Sin Of Senses.
Are you now beginning to see how the SOS, the international distress cry, can be used by you with the Sententious Expressions to get the attention of people. Even TV Guide earlier this year had on the front cover SOS. Guess what it said? Save our Shows. Some of us will have to admit that certainly some of the shows are not worth saving. However, people are worth saving. You can Save One Soul today. You can pray to God to Send One Soul to you today. Folks, this is the most powerful witnessing vehicle to use NOW.
In Time Magazine it saddens me to call to your attention, "The Roman Catholic Church made its liturgy accessible in the vernacular and turned increasingly from Saving souls to Saving Our Society." Page 75, Time, March 30, 1992. More currently, the President of the Southern Baptist Convention made the encouraging remark in Baptist Today publication ... " We need to have an SOS call for evangelism and missions. We need to move away from some things which have bogged us down in denominational life."
Folks, this is exactly what I am talking about. It doesn't make any difference whether it's the Roman Catholics, the Baptists, the Presbyterians, the Assemblies of God, or any other denomination. They need an awakening, and who's going to awaken them? There are not enough pastors, priests, evangelists, Sunday School teachers, on and on, nor is there enough time to reach the people of this world. However, there are enough people to reach people. Please remember this.
Evangelism is the answer to the question, "What has Christ done for you?" We invite you to be a partner in the use of SOS as a Spiritual Operating Signal to the lost souls worldwide.
What is the soul? I am sure most of you know, but if I can add one further thought, with all my heart, the soul is the Seat Of Sensations. The soul is the real you that will go on living forever. Let us realize the seriousness of not speaking to our loved ones and friends about their own soul. Sin Obviously Separates, and there is Strength Of Soul as you Share Others Sorrows. There is a Shame Of Sin and only the Shepherd Of Souls has the Solutions Of Sin. If we continue to employ the Sin Of Silence, we will all be held responsible.
Now I have told you what SOS is?, and I say it again, it is the international code symbol for distress. There are signs along the interstate in foreign lands that have large SOS letters with an arrow. Guess what it points to. Yes, a telephone, indicating there is help. Due to the international stature of SOS, it has crossed many "enemy lines" to save men, women and children from life threatening peril.
Thus the simplicity of three dots/three dashes/three dots carries a life saving message. This is why we developed the small black pin, black as a background, gold dots, dashes and dots and gold border representing Deity and light as an "Eternal Distress Relief Symbol" to a dying world.
Who wears the SOS pin? The disciples of Jesus were commanded to go to all nations and preach the Gospel. Those of us who have recognized the Deity of Jesus and responded to His call are also His disciples. Our desire to witness for Jesus should become as natural as breathing is to our body. SOULS, SOULS, WST SOULS. How does the SOS pin work? ... It provides the wearer with a "help mate." Man's sense of curiosity and natural desire for knowledge will cause him/her to ask you ... what does the pin stand for. Once this question is asked, their heart's door is opened. You are provided the opportunity of witnessing for your Saviour.
WHAT DOES THE WITNESS SAY IN RESPONSE? How does this tie into SOS? As a disciple, you are on a rescue mission for souls. The Sententious (rare) Expressions symbolize the nature of SOS. These inspired expressions are to be used in conjunction with the message you wish to convey. You are invited to pray for the Lord's leading and formation of your own SOS's.
To illustrate further on how the SOS message can be conveyed to a non-believer ... "We are no longer Servants Of Self or Servants Of Sin but are Sharing Our Salvation to Save Our Society. What results can be expected? Remember I mentioned to you, "There is many a sorrow that would vanish tomorrow if we but furnish the wings." (Ex. 19.4). I bear you on eagle's wings." The wings are SOS ... a cry for rescue.
We need to realize the value of one ... one soul at a time. However, we also need to realize the benefit to the person who is sharing God's Word. The desire to witness for Jesus will cause the believer to search the scriptures more deeply and bring the believer into a greater understanding of God's wisdom. God's word will not return void, and He will honor the commitment of the individual who, like David, has a heart for God. This new awareness and closeness to God will give the individual a Spirit Of Success. Is this your desire? The Holy Spirit, the Minister of the Interior, will do the convicting, but He needs all of us to willingly go forth and preach the Gospel of Jesus to all nations.
Therefore, the question becomes Smart Or Stupid ... Saviour Or Satan. We ask, is there really a question?
Through the use of the aphorism (a formation of a sentiment or truth), You're Someone Special®, you provide access to the recipient into an area of special dimension whereby the recipient is set apart as "distinctively different." You are helping to satisfy a "hunger" of that person thereby letting them know you care by positive recognition.
It would be glorious if those of us who want to be partners in the compassion for lost souls could remember that "Everything rises and falls on leadership," and perhaps SOS could adopt the leadership commitment for the 21st century as follows:
I'm part of the fellowship of the unashamed. I have Holy Spirit power. The dye has been cast. I have stepped over the line. The decision has been made. I'm a disciple of His. I won't look back, let up, slow down, back away, or be still.
My past is redeemed, my present makes sense, my future is secure. I'm finished and done with low living, sight walking, small planning, smooth knees, colorless dreams, tamed visions, mundane talking, cheap giving and dwarfed goals.
I no longer need pre-eminence, prosperity, position, promotions, plaudits or popularity. I don't have to be right, first, tops, recognized, praised, regarded, or rewarded. I now live by faith, lean on its presence, walk by patience, lift by prayer and labor by power.
My face is set, my gait is fast, my goal is heaven, my road is narrow, my way is rough, my companions few, my guide reliable, my mission clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, deluded, or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of the adversary, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity, or meander in the maze of mediocrity.
I won't give up, shut up, let up, until I have stayed up, stored up, prayed up, paid up, preached up for the cause of Christ. I am a disciple of Jesus. I must go till he comes, give till I drop, preach till all know, and work till He stops me. And when He comes for His own, He will have no problem; recognizing me -- my banner will be clear.
SOS is:
A "DESERT OASIS."

Take a close look at America. Do you see the paltry ingratitude/painful intemperance/ paralizing indifference and powerless imputence? You can help America by using SOS. We can all help Save Our Society from the Slavery Of Sin. See ... how using these sententious- (rare) expressions and the code symbol SOS pin will make a difference.
We should remember the cross, as set forth in Luke the 23rd chapter, tells us that it is A battlefield, An altar, A meeting place, A pulpit, A judgment throne.
It is vital we recall that God tells us everyone is crucified on one of these three crosses. Which is your's?
- The cross of selfishness
- The cross of self-surrender
- The cross of self-sacrifice
This was a place of pain when Jesus Christ Shared Others Suffering. . . that is physical, mental and spiritual. It was a place of pardon for the thief, for the mob, and for you and me. It was a place of promise, forgiveness, favor, fellowship, and a future. That day three men were crucified on Calvary, one who gave salvation, one who received, and one who despised. Which one are you NOW? God has emphasized and made crystal clear the importance of salvation, measuring its height as high as the throne which He occupies in heaven and its depth as deep as Jesus in the heart of hell. If God places this much importance on salvation, should we not accept Him and speak in behalf of the Saviour Of Salvation.
The SOS "International Distress Symbol" is now the "Eternal Distress Relief Symbol" to a dying world. Christians everywhere are displaying this new innovative symbol of loving outreach to the lonely and lost. Join the arm of God as we Serve Our Saviour together.
